You are correct.. it can be troublesome with video at best.
I'd recommend you use SER.

I think You can use DynDys to know the updated Ip address of your client pc.

hello all
i have a problem with ip to ip call using xlite version 3.0

in my LAN, i have two PCs , the first PC has IP address 192.168.1.2 and is installed with xlite version 3.0 build 29712
the second PC has IP address 192.168.1.4 and is installed with xlite version 3.0 build 56125.

i had configured the first PC with setings as explained in the begining of this thread. (lets say i used : pc1@192.168.1.2)
and i had configured the second PC with same configuration (and lets say i used pc2@192.168.1.4)

in version 3.0 build 56125 has not the option called (target domain).

when i call pc2 from pc1 , there is no problem, but when i call pc1 from pc2 it shows a message that says call was rejected and it seems that i call my self (pc1 from pc2)

any one who knows how to resolve this problem.

Could it be that in your LAN the two clients - even with different IPs - can't each have port 5060?

now , i had installed xlite version 3.0 build 29712 in both PCs on my LAN,and i did configured one pc to listen to port 5061/5062 and the other to port 5060/5061 and i had made calls bettween the two pcs perfectly
and when i want to make call i specify the port to use like this user@192.168.1.2:5062

Could you kindly make voice, video call to my X-Lite configured to receive SIP calls,
as I am not aware what's wrong,
as I can ring flaphone SIP
but a call cannot be answered.

Using Xlite configured with my SIP : 2233394517@sip2sip.info
I can call my own number to get voicemail to work, starting to record my voice message.

Calling my another SIP configured with flaphone: 2233394235@sip2sip.info
a call cannot be established

I answer a call on flaphone
and call is rejected.

So I must test Xlite with another test number and test validity of my SIP numbers,
but one of my SIP works fine, making test call to sip:echo123@skype from flaphone
so the problem is in configuration of x-lite.

I asked about making video calls from mobile phone to SIP number, picked up by flaphone.
Are you are of any such service, or service provider for tests ?

I mean: video calling from smart phone --> SIP number

(client can be flaphone, Xlite or just one another, supporting video calls).
